Janet Love has learned that Janet will re-shoot her video for "Rock With U". In a statement released exclusively to Janet Love, Island Def Jam representative Lila Froop confirmed that Janet was unhappy with the initial version of the video and held crisis talks all weekend with director Saam Farahmand. He was given 24 hours to pitch new ideas for a video and has been instructed to have the shoot ready for this coming weekend.

It is believed that this is the primary reason why the original Rock With U video has been pulled from music channels BET, VH1 and MTV in order to prevent it receiving plays so that the new version can be released as and when it is ready.

The new video is expected to receive massive media attention because of the unprecedented decision to spend even more money on an already expensive project. Janet Love will, of course, keep you updated with the latest.

I am very surprised that Ms. Perfection herself let ANYTHING out that was not right in her eyes. I liked the video. I did NOT like the wig cryptery she was featuring in said video. I think this along with the renewed interest for "Feedback" are good signs that IDJ is NOT giving up on "Discipline". I do feel the director is WAY out of his league. Working with someone of Janet's caliber for the first time cannot be easy.

PLYMOUTH, MI - March 26, 2008 - Do you have what it takes to be the president? Today Stardock Entertainment announced The Political Machine 2008, a new PC game that puts players in control of the 2008 presidential campaign. Play as the campaign manager for a host of candidates including Barack Obama, John McCain, Hillary Clinton, historical candidates or design one from scratch.

Players then choose their campaign battlegrounds and are off on the campaign trail to face a host of challenges including fundraising, talk show appearances, hiring spin doctors and winning endorsements. The game is won on Election Day by the player who gets the necessary electoral votes to become President.

The Political Machine 2008 is developed and published by Stardock Entertainment. The game uses a brand-new 3D engine designed to give the candidates a unique look (all candidates are presented as "bobble heads"). The 2004 edition of the game was a tremendous success. Using actual demographic data, the game accurately predicted the 2004 election months in advance. In June of 2004, Stardock's CEO and Lead Designer Brad Wardell said that The Political Machine predicted that Ohio - not Florida - would be the key state and that whoever won that state would win the Presidency.

"This is the ultimate game for political junkies and a really fun way for anyone to learn about the election process," said Wardell. "Once you put yourself in the campaign manager's shoes, you really get to see how each campaign tactic ultimately affects the outcome of the vote. The whole point is to be fun but part of that means being reasonably accurate."

Real-world scenarios are mirrored in the game. Players can choose what TV shows to be a guest on and will face tough questions from the hosts of shows like Colvert Report and the O'Malley Factor. In addition, players can choose to play out different historical scenarios as well as fantasy scenarios taking place in the future.

"Political junkies will appreciate many of the political consultants and strategies employed in the game such as the use of smear merchants, spin doctors, intimidators, cheer leaders, movie stars, etc.," continued Wardell. "Strategy gamers will appreciate the balanced game mechanics that allow players to research new campaign tactics that even novice political observers can see from the current election."

The Political Machine is both a single and a multiplayer game - players can either compete against the computer or against others online on www.politicalmachine.com. The website also provides an ideologically neutral location for users to discuss the current election.

The game will be released at retail in this upcoming June for $19.95. It requires Windows XP or Windows Vista to run. For more information about Stardock please visit www.stardock.com.

Nephews, a lot of you like myself are self made, and its really hard to get the UP on how to properly shave your face. It's the weekend, and ladies and gents alike love a well manicured puss. If you are using one of these...

...trust your uncle that is NOT the answer. You are doing your face a huge disservice and wasting lots and lots of money. Our fathers and their fathers alike knew the beauty of a shave with one of these babies right here...

a double edged safety razor. What cartridge manufacturers don't want you to know, is that multiple blades create drag and irritation which in turn cause you to buy more product for skin care. A double edge safety razor is a sound investment and something I guarantee will give you the best shave of your life. Now I know what you are thinking, there is NO WAY I am dragging one of these...

..across my face. Well I'm here to tell you, ALL you have to remember is NOT TO APPLY PRESSURE. The beauty of the single sharp blade is that with practice and shorter more deliberate strokes you will get the hang of this and find you are getting a much closer shave with this single blade in a single pass. This also alleviates most ingrown hairs and hair bumps with the simple addition of passing the blade over your face not against the grain but in a sideways motion (imagine swiping the blade in small strokes from your side burns/cheek to the center of your face). Heavily bearded men like older African Americans, Italians and Arabians have known this for years and would NEVER subject their faces to the torture of cartridge shaving, Razor blades also cost SIGNIFICANTLY LESS than cartridges and saving money is sexy.

You are gonna need some of this stuff....

a nice thick rich shaving foam is an investment in yourself. Nephew's there comes a time when you have to start taking care of yourself in a completely different way. The upkeep gets more and more crucial. Shaving foam is a rich and luxurious moisturizing cream that not only serves to bathe your face in an aromatic lather, but it also positions the hair on your face for cutting. I use Kiehls mainly because its unscented and regularly available. Get rid of that stuff in the can and get yourself something really designed for shaving. Taylor Of Old Bond Street, as well as Geo F. Trumper are all time tested here at the Manor with Lavender cream as well as a host of others. These creams also include other emollients designed to keep your skin in check. Again distinguished gents all over the world have used these products for decades. Pricier then your canned stuff a little bit goes a long way as a result of one of these...

...a genuine badger brush to apply the cream in upward strokes to your freshly scrubbed face. After you wash your face, run a sink full of hot water. Have enough room for all of your materials or bring a tv tray into the bathroom for additional surface area. Never bang your razor on the edge of the sink. They are cheap enough to use a fresh one with every shave and you'll still save money over catridges. Take your brush and dip it into the hot water and let it saturate. Pull it out of the water and the allow the water to drain out and when it stops dripping, its ready for you to swirl a smidge of the shaving cream onto it and lather up in upward strokes to your slightly damp face. Adding more water will make the lather thicker.

Using short deliberate strokes (remember its one EXTREMELY SHARP BLADE), gently glide your new found friend over your fur and you will simply be amazed at the ease in which it comes off. Many of you will never shave any other way ever again. For an even closer shave you can do a second pass as I outlined above. You are going to nick yourself. This is common. Get a styptic pen (not toilet paper) and keep it movin'. After you are done remove all residue with a hot moist face cloth.

Equally important is the moisturizer. Soft supple skin says a lot about you. Lotion is not designed for your face.

Nieces and Nephews, Spring time is a time of renewal. The rebirth of all the pretty things as nature awakens all that slumbers. It's also the time where love is in the air. Today's flashback letter is D.

My partner and I had the HONOR of experiencing the osity of one of today's flashback artists Diane Shuur in a benefit concert recently and she was a delight. She had an incredible sense of humor and was so gracious. It's like she spent the evening telling us beautiful stories about the collection of songs she presented (psst.....come closer.....I even called one of my sisters in Chicago on my cel phone as she's an avid fan and she heard the whole show). Here is one of my favorite songs by her "Love Dance". Her CD collection of love songs is worth a trip to Best Buy or your used cd store but good luck finding it there. No one with good ears would turn that in.

Here's a little known UK soul sound system, D'influence, with "Good For We". Much in the same vein as Soul II Soul, their overlooked cd of the same title I believe is also worth a trip to the cd store. You must broaden your musical horizons nieces and nephews. Hearing an amazing song can really enhance your life...

I'm including "Coat Of Many Colors" from the legendary and immortal Dolly Parton because I miss my mommy. This is one of those songs that will always connect me to her. Those of you who know my story will understand.

ORLANDO, Fla. -- A new state-of-the-art roller coaster scheduled to open at Universal Studios Orlando theme park will hover over the heads of visitors as it winds the length of the park during customized adventures.

The Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit Roller Coaster ride will send visitors through the theme park and feature a record-breaking loop, Local 6 has learned.

Riders will also be able to make choices on their adventure.

"This is the first time you'll be able to create your own movie, select your own music score for the movie and do it -- all while you are riding one of the most state-of-the-art thrill rides," Universal Studios representative Mark Woodbury said.

Despite the sagging economy, Universal continues to build. The park will soon feature a Simpson's-themed ride and a Harry Potter attraction. Park officials said the growth is possible because people still want to vacation. "Look around," Woodbury said. "We have a great crowd here today. It is a beautiful day in Central Florida." Disney's President Meg Crofton said even though the ride is competition, it will benefit everyone. "Actually, we are always very excited when anyone in Central Florida offers reasons for visitors to come to Central Florida," Crofton said. "We are all in the tourism industry together."

The roller coaster is set to open in January 2009.

There is just no excuse for this. Beyond the fact that both songs are boring with "Touch My Body" just being an amalgamation of "Don't Forget About Us" and "We Belong Together" and "Migrate" just not being a strong song. This CNN story states that 1 in every 4 teen girls has an STD. In a lot of cases the disease in question is HPV, which girls can be vaccinated against as young as 8 years old. If I had a daughter, I'd definitely be certain to see to it that she got this vaccination. We can have the discussion about what it all means later.

What I find particularly disturbing though is that this trend doubles when you look at African American teens. Why are the beautiful girls running from the beautiful women they are supposed to be becoming? I fully blame BET. If you haven't seen BET recently, just tune in any day for about 2-3 hours and you will get the point.

"Control" begets "Discipline"

So while a day late with the videos and a dollar short with the promotion game, Ms. Nasty herself, the reigning queen of my "baby mama wish list" is back with another sex charged opus called "Discipline". You will notice right away that SOMETHING is missing if you read the liner notes. THIS is the first entire cd from La Janet that features NO production or songwriting by long time collaborators Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis nor Ms. Jackson herself. Troubled? I was at first...

Not to worry my loves, Janet is back with a work that is chock full of radio friendly ear candy. The cd opens with Janet interacting with a new "character" named Kyoko (I'm envisioning this as some futuristic androgynous bisexual robot in spite of Kyoko being a girls name that means Mirror). I'm starting to think its really crowded in Janet's head with Dunk, Boo, Damita Jo and Strawberry already running around in there. Anyway Janet logs in (MAJOR nod to Prince's The Gold Experience) and starts listening to the cd which opens with "Feedback".

Produced by Rodney Jerkins, this thumping dance track has Janet in her usual dominant sexual position asking if we like her sexy. Mama, the sexy has NEVER been your issue. With the chant "Light skin dark skin my Asian persuasion" ...for once I think she's actually talking about the docile sexual tendencies of Asian women and NOT the origin of her weave game.

Up next we have "Luv", one of my personal faves off the cd with its love as car wreck theme. This song should be her next single. It sorta reminds me of "Doesn't Really Matter" from a production standpoint, in that it sounds like J&L could have done this one. After "Luv" there's a hot ass crispy deep fried mess called "Rollercoaster". It's busy, boring, dated and ill fitting with the rest of the cd. Take note of the song playing in the background of the interlude "Bathroom Break", as I think its one of the hottest things NOT on the cd which leads me to believe it will be on the D2 edition of "Discipline", rumored to be coming out after the tour begins. Its said to be including remixes and songs left off the cd, which may include her alleged track with Maroon 5.

"Rock With You", the next hit single and another old school house/dance track has Janet in pocket surrounded by her usual wall of her own layered background vocals. Think Inner City. Produced by Jermaine Dupri and Ne-Yo, (how you doin...BOTH of you?), at the request of Janet who wanted something for "the kids". They delivered, and I'm sure the children are collectively losing their bowels over it. The video for this is currently being shot and is to feature Janet and a bunch of Janet impersonators in a futuristic nightclub setting. Luscious....

"2 Nite" is another hit dance track with a modern house feel to it. Janet's coos sit right on top of this track. In classic Janet mode the cd slows down to mid tempo with "Cant B Good" which is the best Michael Jackson vocal performance he never gave. "Never Letchu Go" is so generic down to the cheesetastic "juicy guitar" solo at the beginning reminding listeners of the melody, an oft used tactic to make the hook familiar by the time you get to it. "Greatest X" IMO could be one of her biggest mid/tempo ballad songs since "Again". The song tackles the subject of realizing that someone you let go in your life, probably the one, can only now be the "Greatest X". Honestly I think she wrote this song about herself. Is there a greater x then Janet? Have you seen Rene recently?

The cd speeds back up for a funky Daft Punk sampling joint "So Much Betta" that has Janet declaring that she's "Tired of being number two, I can do what she can't do. So much betta I'm for you". This refrain is followed by something backwards that I have fashioned in my mind into something absolutely debaucherous including most of Janet's erogenous zones and a few of mine. Believe me she has many, so it was hard to chose. I'm sure my truth is stranger then her fiction and this better be on her tour set list. The vocal for this is also interesting. It's like Janet met Camille from Prince's "Sign O The Times" and they formed an alliance. "The 1" featuring Missy Elliot is also another generic R&B, hippity hoppity song that is both age inappropriate and just contrived. This is the kind of thing I expected all over the cd, but was pleasantly surprised that it was kept to a minimum.

"What's Ur Name" is the second joint that I'm sure has Michael sitting somewhere wondering when he recorded this and if its not him, why he didn't. The song even has a BRIDGE! Love her vocal. She just wants dudes name to put in her sidekick so she can hit him back when she gets home...."cause I never seen you before, but I wanna see you some more". All this time I figured her for a iphone chick.

If you ever wondered how sexy Janet would sound reading the dictionary, the interlude "The Meaning" that sets up the Ne-Yo penned "Discipline" answers all questions. I 'd need to change my underwear every time I heard this, so it was much easier to just stop wearing them. And then there's "Discipline", another Janet slow jam baby making homage to how she likes to get her freak on. Note: Do NOT go around trying to figure out how you can turn "Discipline" into a child's name cause she was conceived to it. Kyoko is lovely though. Ol gal must have some strong erhm...muscles because she's always getting THAT job done. I would like to thank Ne-Yo for giving her lyrics that are suggestive and erotic without being just flat out nasty (*See "Moist" and "Warmth" from Damita Jo). I need a "cigarette" before I can finish this review.

Puff puff.....

Ok and closing out "Discipline" is "Curtains". All in all a much better effort from La Janet then the last 2 cds she blessed us with. Big up to Jermaine "Hornswaggle Bat Boy" Dupri for hooking up her vocal game. In that respect she has never sounded better. And do I really need to state thats she's absolutely beautiful?
